Microsoft is committed to strengthening the U.S. economy and increasing global competitiveness by improving access to education and workforce readiness skills required for 21st century jobs. As part of the Elevate America effort, Microsoft is providing learning vouchers for no cost access to Microsoft e-learning courses and select Microsoft Certification Exams as part of their work to help train 2 million people over the next three years. The Orange County Workforce Investment Board has received a select number of vouchers for: - Intermediate level e-learning vouchers for Microsoft Windows & Office
- Advanced level e-learning vouchers for Microsoft Technical Professional and Developer level training
- Certification exam vouchers for Microsoft Windows & Office Exams
The FREE Training Includes: NEW TO COMPUTING/GETTING THE BASICS MICROSOFT DIGITAL LITERACY (NO VOUCHER OR ACCESS CODE REQUIRED) This is Microsoft’s foundational training series for participants who are new to computing. It covers such topic areas as Computer Basics, The Internet and World Wide Web, and Computer Productivity. This training program is free to everyone and can be accessed from the Microsoft Digital Literacy Web site below (no access code is required): WINDOWS AND OFFICE ESSENTIALS (ACCESS CODE REQUIRED) This series of online courses provides the essential skills and knowledge to demonstrate basic competence using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Completion of these online training courses build the minimum technical skills for the majority of jobs today. To access the e-learning courses in this series, a special ACCESS CODE is required to redeem them for free, and that access code is provided in the Step-By-Step User Instructions. MICROSOFT BUSINESS CERTIFICATION ONLINE TRAINING (VOUCHER REQUIRED) This series of online courses is specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Business Certification exams. Each collection of courses is focused on a single Microsoft product, such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. To access the e-learning courses in this series, a special access code is required to redeem them for free, and that access code is provided by an Implementing Organization (Orange County Workforce Investment Board). TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION TRAINING (VOUCHER REQUIRED) This series of online courses is specifically designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to pass Microsoft Technical Certification exams. Each collection of courses is focused on a single Microsoft product, such as Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Visual Studio. To access the e-learning courses in this series, a special access code is required to redeem them for free. We have distributed all vouchers. CERTIFICATION EXAMS (VOUCHER REQUIRED) Vouchers are available for certification exams for Office 2003 (MOS) and Office 2007 (MCAS) Please click here to request an ACCESS CODE.
