The Orange County Summer Youth Employment Program (OCSYEP) will be placing Orange County youth between the ages of 16 and 24 this summer with non-profit, public sector and educational institutions. This is a great opportunity for your organization to get extra help this summer from youth who are eager to work and learn...all at no cost to you!

Program Information:

All youth salaries will be paid by federal economic stimulus funding
Workers compensation will be covered by the County of Orange
All payroll processes will be handled by the County of Orange
Youth will be screened by the OCSYEP staff
Youth will be matched based on career interest and goals.

Your Role As A Worksite :

Provide supervision of the youth
Serve as a mentor/teacher to the youth
Provide valuable work experience that will help the youth

Worksite and Alternate Supervisors will be required to attend a Worksite Orientation Meeting (approximately 30 minutes).

The OCSYEP is made available through funding from the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Economic Stimulus). OCSYEP is
administered by the Orange County Workforce Investment Board and Youth Council
