Public Administrator Resignation
The Board of Supervisors expected Orange County Public Administrator John S. Williams to leave office on Monday, January 23 as a result of his retirement notice given March 9, 2011. As a result of his decision, office access was denied on Tuesday, January 24. Subsequent to being locked-out of his office by the County, incredibly, Mr. Williams has announced on television that he is reconsidering his agreement with the Board to retire. A special closed session meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 31 to discuss the matter. Lucille Lyon is currently serving as the Public Guardian/ Assistant Public Administrator.
