Incentive Programs

For your convenience, we have provided a brief description of the incentives available to eligible County of Orange and Court employees.  Click here for more details.

Commuter Choice  - Employees can now purchase Metrolink, OCTA bus, and vanpool “tickets” through the convenience of a monthly payroll deduction. By doing so, your taxable income is reduced by that amount up to $125 per month. This income tax savings is like money in your pocket each month.

Try the Bus on Us  - This program is for employees that want to try using the OCTA bus service to commute to work. You will receive a complimentary one-day ticket. If you like riding the bus and sign up to purchase the annual bus pass through payroll deductions, you will receive the first month free. Simply sign up for Commuter Choice and we take care of the rest. Best of all, this part applies to existing riders also!

Try The Train On Us  - This program is available to County of Orange employees that want to try taking Metrolink to work. You will receive a complimentary 4-trip ticket. If you like taking the train and sign up for the monthly pass program through payroll deductions, you'll receive the first month free. Simply sign up for Commuter Choice and we'll take care of the rest.

Start-A-Vanpool - This program is for any employee that leases a vanpool vehicle and forms a vanpool group with at least 3 other County of Orange employees. The employee leasing the vehicle will receive a $300 gift card after the vanpool has been on the road for three months and another $300 gift card after six months.  The vanpool provider will also help you apply for the OCTA funded lease reduction program of up to $400 per month.

Get A Charge On Us - Any employee that leases or purchases an electric vehicle (EV) to commute to work may be eligible to receive $100 by submitting a copy of the lease or proof of purchase. Complete the All-in-One form.

The Commuter Club  - This program is for any employee that commits to rideshare at least once a week or five times a month. Commuter Club members enjoy discounts at local merchants and receive a special thank you gift each year. They are also eligible to win quarterly prizes and other special promotions.

$2/day Incentive for Riverside and San Bernardino Residents - Western Riverside County and San Bernardino County residents may be eligible to receive up to $132 in gift cards for switching to a rideshare mode for three months. This incentive is sponsored by the Riverside County Transportation Commission and San Bernardino Associated Governments. After three months of ridesharing, you may also be eligible for the Rideshare Plus Reward whereby participants receive a special Entertainment Book which contains over $1,000 in premium discounts coupons to use at dining, entertainment, and other service venues.  Apply on-line at www.ierideshare.com using the code of OC333.
