Homeless Prevention centrally coordinates the preservation and expansion of the County's Continuum of Care System for the homeless which focuses on homeless prevention, outreach and assessment, emergency shelter, transitional housing, supportive services, and permanent supportive housing.

Homeless Prevention Programs

In addition to the Continuum of Care, Homeless Prevention's other programs include the Cold Weather Armory and the Point in Time Count.  Homeless Prevention is also drafing a 10-year plan to incorporate HUD's vision of ending chronic homelessness.  Watch this space for updates on these programs.

For those in need, call 2-1-1 or contact www.211oc.org/ for any kind of social service assistance including shelter, food, counseling, education and other support services.
