SEEKING EXPERIENCED MHSA DEVELOPERS FOR HOUSING IN ORANGE COUNTY.
The MHSA Housing Program, administered by CalHFA, provides funds for California counties to build and operate permanent supportive housing for members of the MHSA target population who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and low income. The MHSA subpopulation includes children and youth, transitional age youth, adults 18 and older and older adults 60 and older. MHSA funds are now being committed to projects throughout California. The County of Orange received an allocation of $33 million in capital and operating subsidies from the State. Developers may access the funds through submission and approval, through the County of Orange, of an MHSA Housing Program Application. To learn more about the County's MHSA program, please see http://ochealthinfo.com/mhsa/housing/ and Mental Health Services Act Housing Plan Guidelines for Application and Orange County Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Housing Plan. If interested in creating MHSA units in Orange County, please contact Judy Iturriaga at mhsahousing@ochca.com and/or Kevin Fincher at mhsa.housing@hcs.ocgov.com
The Utility Allowance Schedule is associated with builders who are constructing affordable housing, who need a letter from us giving them the utility allowances.
