Community Center Operations Contracts Available

(Santa Ana, CA) – The County of Orange Housing and Community Services Department (HCS) has released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit non-profit and community-based organizations interested in operating one or all of the County of Orange’s community centers located in unincorporated county areas. The community centers are located in the El Modena area within the City of Orange sphere of influence, Colonia Independencia area within the City of Anaheim sphere of influence, and Midway City within the City of Westminster sphere of influence.

County Grants for Roof Replacement Available

(Santa Ana, CA) – The County of Orange Housing and Community Services Department (HCS) is offering Roof Replacement Grants for income qualified homeowners in Orange County unincorporated communities. The Roof Replacement Grant, using federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, is intended to assist homeowners who make below 80% of Orange County’s median income – approximately $56,500 for a family of four. The intent is to replace older, wood shake shingle roofs with Class A fire rated composite roofing material. The grant will cover complete replacement of the roof and existing accessories only.
