Orange County Housing Authority
Orange County Housing Authority (OCHA) is a division within Orange County Community Services that administers federally funded programs to provide monthly rental assistance to qualified tenants in privately owned rental housing. The largest such program is referred to as the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Participants who receive a Housing Voucher can use this rental assistance in a variety of rental dwellings and locations with almost any property owner who is willing to participate in the program.
Section 8 Waiting List Countdown
Applications Available February 15, 2012
OCHA will accept preliminary applications for rental assistance beginning Wednesday, February 15 through Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Applications will NOT be available before February 15.
On February 15 Interested persons may apply directly online at this website (Note: the preliminary application will not be posted prior to February 15). Also on February 15, preliminary applications will be available at participating Public Libraries, Cities and partner agencies throughout Orange County. Some of these locations will have computers available for public access.
