Landfill Information
Hours of Operation:
Open: Monday through Saturday - Operating hours vary by landfill. Click on each landfill for specific operating hours.
Closed: Major Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Orange County Landfills:
Landfill Classification
All three active landfills are permitted as Class III landfills. Class III landfills accept only non-hazardous municipal solid waste for disposal; no hazardous or liquid waste can be accepted.
Costs
- Automobile (any passenger car): $5.00 *
- Trucks with less than 880 pounds: $20.00 (minimum amount for trucks)
- Hard to handle fee: $5.00
(For items longer than 6 feet) Examples: pieces of wood, mattresses, furniture, etc.
- Per ton fee: $53.95 beginning July 1, 2010.

Anything between the minimum and tonnage rate is prorated based on weight at the scale.
Acceptable Forms of Payment
- Cash or Check only. No credit cards.
- Make checks payable to County of Orange
- Check must have physical address imprinted. P.O. Box numbers are not allowed.
