SANTA ANA – The mayor of Tainan, Taiwan, George Chang, and a delegation of 18 other Tainan officials will arrive in Orange County tomorrow for a one-day visit to meet with the Board of Supervisors and enter into a "Friendly City/County" agreement. The letter of intent will be signed at an 11 a.m. reception in the fifth floor conference room of the Hall of Administration in downtown Santa Ana.

SANTA ANA – County CEO Jan Mittermeier today announced the appointment of Loan Leblow as interim director of John Wayne Airport. Leblow will have oversight of all airport activities while the County looks for a permanent replacement for O. B. Schooley who has accepted a position with the consulting firm P&D Aviation. He had been airport director for four years.

(SANTA ANA) – Twenty-four young performers, The Cathay Future Children Art Troupe from Tianjin, China, will arrive January 30 in Orange County as guests of the County of Orange’s Office of Protocol. The January 30 – February 2 visit, which is hoped will begin a cultural exchange between the city and County, was initiated when William G. Steiner, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, led a County delegation to Tianjin to establish a Sister City/County relationship. Since the Sister City agreements were signed last July, Orange County has become a primary destination for arriving business delegations from Asia.
