Carol Ann Helsel Named Chapman Branch Library Manager
The Orange County Public Library (OCPL) has announced the promotion of Carol Ann Helsel to the position of Branch Manager of the Chapman Branch Library, effective Friday, May 5, 2000.
Helsel received a B.A. in Library Science from Clarion State College. She joined OCPL in 1965, working as the Children's Librarian at Chapman Library for 30 years. In 1995 she joined the Westminster Branch Library as the Children's Library Specialist.
County Librarian John Adams noted, "Carol Ann is an outstanding librarian and a valuable member of our organization. In her new position as Chapman Branch Manager, she will have an excellent opportunity for professional growth."
Helsel is excited about her new position: "I'm looking forward to getting back to the Chapman Branch Library, where I spent most of my early library career, and hope everyone visits the library to say hello."
Helsel, who lives in Garden Grove, enjoys reading and needlepoint.
