Cats Available For Immediate Adoption at Weekend Special Event

(Santa Ana) - Orange County Animal Care Services (OCACS) will have 40 cats available for immediate adoption this weekend at the Purina Cat Chow "Way of Life" Tour, to be held Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23 at The Block at Orange, 20 City Boulevard West, Orange. (address).

The special event will allow cat lovers to explore a 30-foot long cat "habitat," a unique environment providing education, information and entertainment. Training demonstrations will be held throughout the day on topics including "The Purrfect Purrsonality," "Cat ComPETability," and "Tricks for Treats."

The Purina Cat Chow "Way of Life Tour" is visiting 20 cities nationwide this year and the exhibit will be open Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 Noon-6 p.m.

All cats available for adoption at this eventfrom Orange County Animal Care Services will have already been spayed or neutered and will be ready to go home this weekend with their new owners. "We appreciate this opportunity to make cats available for immediate adoption and hope the public will visit to learn more about our adoptable animals as well as pet care in general," said Hal Maloney,Kathy Francis, OCACS Interim DirectorPublic Education Officer. Orange County Animal Care Services staff members, volunteers and explorers will be on hand to facilitate adoptions and. each adoption will be accompanied by a free bag of Purina Cat Chow brand cat food.
