Community Leaders Look at Education for Homeless Children
(Santa Ana) - The educational needs of homeless children will be discussed at the July 23 Continuum of Care Community Forum. The meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. in the LA Times Mirror meeting room, 1375 Sunflower Avenue, Costa Mesa.
Participants from non-profit organizations, Orange County cities, school districts and State and County agencies will be in attendance. The County Executive Office and the Shelter & Hunger Partnership of Orange County will co-sponsor the meeting.
"We believe this meeting will provide excellent information to those interested in the education of homeless children,' said Karen Roper, Homeless Prevention and Related Programs Coordinator for the County.
Other topics to be covered at the meeting are the legal "do's and don'ts" for shelter/housing providers and the State's housing policy and budget.
Because seating is limited, guests are asked to confirm attendance by calling 714.247.1207
