Homeless Assistance Funding (SuperNOFA) To Be Topic of Community Forum
(SANTA ANA) - Funding opportunities for homeless assistance will be the topic of the March 28 Continuum of Care (CoC) Community Forum at 1:30 p.m. at the LA Times Mirror Meeting Room, 1375 Sunflower Avenue in Costa Mesa.
The funding opportunities application, known as the 2001 Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Super Notice of Funding Availability (SuperNOFA) for Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance, was released February 26 by HUD.
Local applications are due to the County's Housing and Community Development Department on April 16. Although funds are available on a competitive basis, Orange County has secured more than $17 million in homeless assistance funding over the past three years.
For more information, contact Karen Roper, CEO Homeless Prevention and Related Programs Coordinator, at 714.834.3355 or Lisa Castaneda, Executive Director of Shelter and Hunger Partnership of Orange County, at 714.247.1207.
