CEO Names New Director for Dana Point Harbor Department

CEO Names New Director for Dana Point Harbor Department (Santa Ana, CA)—County Executive Officer Thomas G. Mauk today appointed Brad Gross as Director for the Dana Point Harbor Department.  Gross will assume his new position on September 28, 2007. Gross has been with the City and County of San Francisco for six years where he served as the Manager of Marina Operations and successfully spearheaded a $40 million complete renovation of the San Francisco Marina Small Craft Harbor and shore-side facilities. He has also held various maritime positions including Marina Supervisor/Harbor Master with the City of Berkeley and Dock Master of the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach.  In addition, Gross is a Certified Marina Manager and has served as a past President of the California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains.  He was recognized as the Harbor Master of the Year in 2003 and 2005 as well as Port Captain of the Year by the California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains. “After completing a very competitive recruitment process, Brad Gross brings a winning combination of skills and background needed to lead the Dana Point Harbor Department,” said Mauk.  “He will be an energetic addition to the County’s Executive Management Team.” ###
