Brea Branch Library is located on the Plaza Level of the Brea Civic and Cultural Center which is on the corner of Birch Street and Randolph Street, next to the Brea Mall.
Parking for the Brea Civic and Cultural Center is off Birch Street in the parking structure. Take the elevator to the Plaza Level. The library shares a common lobby with the Brea Chamber of Commerce. Additional parking is available in the Embassy Suites parking structure, the Brea Marketplace across the street on Birch, and also at the Brea Mall.

Special Announcement
The Brea Library is closing for refurbishment beginning January 18, 2010. The library is scheduled to reopen on February 16, 2010.
Library materials may be returned to the outside book drop or to any branch of the OC Public Libraries. The closest branch library for your convenience is the La Habra Branch Library, located at 221 E. La Habra Blvd. at Euclid. Books on hold and Interlibrary Loans may be picked up at the La Habra Branch Library.

Brea Library has 18 Internet workstations for the public. The 4 public access catalogs are also linked to several online research databases.
Fun Fact
In 1922, the library served 521 card holders. Now, it serves a population of over 38,000.
Special Collections
The Brea Branch Library has several special collections of books and other materials, including: Business Reference, Careers and Jobs, Large Print books, a Magazine Index offered on all public terminals, and Foreign Language Collections, including Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Vietnamese.
Adult Programs
The Brea Readers Book Discussion Group meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM.
Free Beginning Computer Classes are offered by appointment only on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Please call for more information or to reserve your spot today!
Children's Programs
Preschool Storytime - Storytime for children is offered in two-month cycles on Monday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Stop by for this very popular program, which includes stories, songs, and activities to help develop early literacy skills. Check the Events Calendar for the schedule.
For Teens
Teen Volunteers — Teens! Are you looking for volunteer hours for the Mayor’s Award or for school credit? Brea Library accepts new volunteers all year long. Come in and pick up an application. Get it in early to fill your favorite time slot!
The Teen Advisory Board is searching for teens who want to make a difference to the library by helping to plan teen activities, assist with library programs, and give their input on books and other media for teens. Contact the library for more information! Becoming involved in these programs is a fun and easy way to quickly build up volunteer time while helping your community.
The Harry Potter Book Club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM. This discussion is lead by the Teen Advisory Board and is open to all ages. Join us in our discussion of our favorite boy wizard!
The Anime Club meets every other Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM to watch and discuss anime series and movies. We offer a mix of anime-themed events with anime viewing days.
