Adoption Assistance Program (AAP)
Many families wish to adopt children but may feel they are financially unable to do so. The federal and state governments established the Adoption Assistance Program (AAP) to help families with some of the long-term expenses when they adopt children who qualify for financial help through the foster care system.

Foster Care Eligibility
Description
Foster Cared Eligibility workers establish a child’s initial and on-going eligibility for cash and Medi-Cal assistance when the child requires substitute parenting on a temporary or permanent basis.
Children may be eligible to receive foster care funding when they are placed into out-of-home care by:
