Mission Statement

The mission of North Operations is to provide responsive, professional, and caring law enforcement services to all people in Orange County. We will respond to calls for service promptly, protect lives and property to the very best of our abilities and apprehend criminal offenders. All Sheriff employees are expected to behave in a friendly, helpful and effective manner, as appropriately determined by the circumstances and nature of the duties they may be called upon to exercise.

North Operations, based at Sheriff Headquarters, is responsible for Patrol services in the unincorporated areas north of the city of Irvine and contract police services for the cities of Stanton and Villa Park. North Operations is responsible for specialized law enforcement functions including the Security Bureau, Special Events, Critical Incident Response Team, School Crossing Guards and the Orange County Fairground. The Emergency Communications Bureau, comprised of Dispatch and Control One is also a part of North Operations.
