Bolsa Chica State Beach

Bolsa Chica State Beach is a popular place for surf-fishing perch, corbina, croaker, cabezon and sand shark.  Throughout summer, bare-handed fishing for California grunion, a species that only spawns on sandy southern California beaches, is also popular.  Bolsa Chica State Beach is located in the City of Huntington Beach and extends three miles from Sunset Beach to Seapoint Ave.  A bike-way makes the connection with Huntington State Beach seven miles to the south.  Wildlife and bird watching are activities to enjoy, especially since the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve is located just across the road.  Click here for more information.
