OC HUMAN RELATIONS HOME PAGE
OC Human Relations is a non-profit agency whose mission is to foster mutual understanding among residents and eliminate prejudice, intolerance and discrimination in order to make Orange County a better place for ALL people to live, work and do business.
Events, Opportunities & News:
With the foresight that society needs to prepare for the growing needs of an aging population, the Archstone Foundation is providing a one-year $40,000 grant to OC Human Relations in support of its Communities For All Ages initiative in San Clemente which seeks to engage residents of all ages in creating vibrant, healthy places for growing up and growing older.
We are proud that OC Human Relations Commission's Police Community Reconciliation Program was a recent recipient of a National Association of Counties NACo 2010 Achievement Award, which recognizes innovative county government programs.
Dismayed by recent incidents of rudeness, OC Human Relations brought together a group of students to discuss the issue. Their response was to develop a cross-generational campaign to challenge adults to treat each other with dignity and respect, hence, "What's Up with Adults?". Make sure to watch the video!
The Orange County Human Relations Commission meets at 7pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the 2nd floor Boardroom, Bldg B, 1300 S. Grand, Santa Ana, 97205. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting and to address the Commission on any topic relevant to its mission.
